Lead Cook

Meridian at Anaheim Hills is looking for a Lead Cook to join the team!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee equipment maintenance, recording keeping and all sanitation activities.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies from approved vendors and maintain good communication with all vendors.
  • Record and maintain adequate food inventory and complete reports as required by Pacifica.
  • Follow all Pacifica dietary policies and procedures and ensure compliance by other food service employees.
  • Train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of managerial experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
  • Demonstrate positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly

Skills:

  • Must have knowledge of safe food handling.
  • Experience in volume-batch cooking.
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina.
  • High School diploma or equivalent: A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage

 Work Schedule:

  • Tuesday- Saturday
  • 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
